EUROPEAN HERITAGE DAYS

Discover the programme organised by Domaine de Boisbuchet, on the occasion of the JEP 2023 (European Heritage Days). The Domaine de Boisbuchet will celebrate the end of the summer season with four guided tours of the estate, including a visit to the architectural park and the summer exhibition “Arboretum – Our world created in wood”, as well as a presentation of the editorial project “Caro Campo. Workbook” by Italian artist Alberonero. During the visit, visitors will be able to taste the apple juice harvested at Boisbuchet.
Friday 15
10h30 / 14h30 LES ENFANTS DU PATRIMOINE
On an exceptional day, Friday 15/09, organised every year on the eve of the European Heritage Days, the CAUEs and their many partners work together to ensure that students in schools, collèges and lycées benefit from a programme of cultural activities that are adapted to their needs and free of charge.
Saturday 16
10h. PRESENTATION PROJECT “CARO CAMPO. WORKBOOK” BY ALBERONERO (Free entrance)
On Saturday 16/09 at 10h, the editorial project by Italian artist Luca Boffi (Alberonero) ‘Caro Campo. Workbook’, will be presented in conversation with Vittorio Parisi, Head of Studies and Research at Villa Arson in Nice, and Mathias Schwartz-Clauss, Director of the Domaine de Boisbuchet.
Alberonero traces the memory of the countryside through an intense process of self-information, mediated by the slow construction of works. Project supported by the Italian Council (2022), Directorate General for Contemporary Creativity, Italian Ministry of Culture.
11h30. VISIT EXHIBITION “ARBORETUM” WITH MATHIAS SCHWARTZ-CLAUSS (Free entrance)
Mathias Schwartz-Clauss, director of Domaine de Boisbuchet and curator of the exhibition, will guide us through this year’s summer exhibition. The “Arboretum – Our World Made of Wood” exhibition highlights the unique possibilities of wood as a material, with examples drawn from architecture and landscaping, science and technology, industry, crafts, and art.
14h30. GUIDED TOUR ARCHITECTURAL PARK + EXHIBITION (Under reservation)
The guided tour presents the architectural park of the Domaine de Boisbuchet and the exhibition “Arboretum – Our world made of wood”, on display at the château. The architectural park features buildings by architects Simón Vélez (Colombia), Shigeru Ban and Go Hasegawa (Japan), Markus Heinsdorff, Jörg Schlaich and Brückner & Brückner (Germany), the Techstyle-Haus, installations by Alvaro Siza (Portugal), Alexander Brodsky (Russia), Timur Ersen (France/Turkey), and Lina Ghotmeh (Lebanon), a traditional Japanese guest house dating from 1864, and our latest additions, the traditional pigeon house and the Polycare House, created in collaboration with Polycare and the Belgian architecture studio dmvA.
