Personal Assistant to Boisbuchet’s Founder

The job-offer addresses junior professionals in the management of design-, architecture- and other culture-related businesses, who are eager to learn alongside a unique personality, internationally acknowledged for his innovative cultural entrepreneurship, from the multi-faceted challenges in one of the leading innovative institutions for design and architecture education.

The personal assitance includes:
– Writing formal and informal letters in English and French
– Managing personal agendas
– Organizing travellings
– Filing information
– Recording meetings

Profile requirements:
– Experience in personal and/or team assistance
– At least C2 level in French as well as in English
– Communication skills – Familiar with Mac, Microsoft Office, and Adobe
– Interest in cultural entrepreneurship related to design and architecture
– Independence, curiosity, personal flexibility, and analytical comprehension
– Discretion and loyalty
– Driver’s license for cars
– Personal health insurance
– EU citizenship

Conditions:
– Initial period of 6 months, as of now
– Professional travellings in France and abroad
– Basic monthly remuneration
– Based at Domaine de Boisbuchet, Lessac (in the Southwest of France)

Background:

Alexander von Vegesack founded Domaine de Boisbuchet as an interdisciplinary experimental institution for design and architecture in a natural environment in 1990 and at the same time as he co-founded the Vitra Design Museum which he directed until 2011. As owner and president of Boisbuchet’s business entities he represents the institution and cares for its overall management with numerous building-projects and diverse events, for the recognition of Boisbuchet’s site and collection as Monument Historique and as Centre Culturel de Rencontre, and for the development of Boisbuchet’s cultural cente into a public-law Foundation. Alexander develops projects for Boisbuchet and third parties and entertains business relationships with local and national administration as well as with museums, individuals, companies, and NGOs worldwide.
