Domaine de Boisbuchet, on the occasion of the “La Chevêche” weekend, on 19th March 2023, held a forest walk in collaboration with Marc Buergo and Dame Forêt at Rdv. Mairie in Lessac. The central theme of this 11th edition was the forest, for its environmental, social, economic and spiritual importance.

The nature festival La Chevêche has existed for 10 years now, with its objective being the same as always: to make people want to discover the nature that surrounds us and to get involved in its preservation. It is a place for meetings, exchanges and debates with associations, researchers and the general public, both informed and uninitiated. On the occasion of the 11th edition of the nature festival, a forest walk event was held on the grounds of Boisbuchet, along with Marc Buego and Dame Forêt, in accordance with this year’s theme to highlight the importance of forests for their environmental, social, economic and spiritual importance. The event kicked off with a gathering of all attendees at the town hall in Lessac at around 2 PM in the afternoon, with Marc and Dame introducing the music of the trees and other secrets of nature. This was followed by the commencement of the walk around Boisbuchet’s forest trail and grounds, and turned out to be a unique experience that allowed people to have a relaxing and serene time in the forest along the music of the trees.

Halfway through the forest walk, there was herbal tea served for refreshments, followed by a proposal of Boisbuchet’s very own apple juice by our director, Mathias Schwartz-Clauss for those who wanted something more than just tea. The event also included interactive activities such as storytelling, poetry readings and nature-inspired art installations. It was an opportunity to connect with nature and appreciate its beauty. By participating in this event, people were given an opportunity to learn about how forests play an important role in our lives and why we should protect them from destruction. The event was concluded with a presentation by Mathias, which highlighted the steps taken by the Domaine to protect and preserve the forests in and around it. On the whole, the event turned out to be a successful, serene, motivated and inspiring weekend for our attendees as well as our team.
