Electra Simon is a Lebanese-English painter based in London. Electra creates large-scale figurative paintings that explore semi-autobiographical and social narratives.
At Boisbuchet, Electra made use of the materials and workshop to create a new way of framing her work in a suspended, scroll like frame made from the Domaine’s bamboo.
A surprise discovery of spray paint in the workshop – and how this reacted with oil paint & white spirit, along with the framing process and her research in the Boisbuchet library then inspired the final composition.
