Graduates of the École des Arts Décoratifs de Paris with honors, Dimitri Zephir and Florian Dach have formed the design duo dach&zephir since 2016.
Their projects, a blend of fervor and poetry, are intended to be spokespersons for plural biographies and histories – with their richness and interference – celebrating the urgent and necessary diversity of the World. This approach is in line with the Tout-monde thinking of Martinican poet Edouard Glissant.
Their work has been exhibited at Carpenters Workshop Gallery in London, DS Galerie in Paris, MAD Paris, Salon Satellite in Milan, Dutch Design Week – Eindhoven, Reciprocity Design Liège in Belgium, Operae design Festival in Turin – Italy, Mémorial ACTe in Guadeloupe, Shenzhen Museum of Contemporary Art in China and Galerie Karimoku in Japan.
Published in 2019, the book Eloj Kréyol: Meanderings in the field of decolonial design (ed. Onomatopée / Field Essays) offers an overview of their work.
