Application process for volunteering at Domaine de Boisbuchet is now open. Send us your application until April 23rd. We require a minimum availability of 5 weeks and will prioritize candidates with a longer availability. You should be fluent in spoken English. We value positive, pro-active and motivated people who are willing to cooperate in different areas and collaborate as a team.
Boisbuchet is operated by a team of cultural entrepreneurs, designers, architects, and scientists. Boisbuchet gathers professional guests and visitors from the neighbouring and global community alike. Be part of our summer community !
Find your mission
GENERAL STAFF
- We value positive, proactive and motivated people willing to cooperate in different areas and collaborate as a team.
- We are looking for passionate and committed people, capable of fostering a feeling of community with fellow staff members, participants, and designers
- Responsibilities vary but may include: cleaning and maintaining, deep cleaning of assigned areas, setting up and maintaining complementary functions including the coffee service and events, cleaning and setting-up meeting room functions, restocking housekeeping stations, etc.
- Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance and providing participants with quality service in a timely and friendly manner.
KITCHEN ASSISTANT
- Interest in food design
- We require knowledge for the basic rules of hygiene.
- Have experience in F&B preferred, but not essential
- Ensuring the food preparation areas are clean and hygienic
- Washing utensils and dishes and making sure they are stored appropriately
- Washing, peeling, chopping, cutting and cooking

PHOTOGRAPHER AND FILMMAKER
- Professional experience in photo-video documentation
- Eye-catching portfolio
- Flexibility to engage under the artistic supervision of our director and operational supervision
- Solid knowledge of Photoshop, Capture One, or other photography or video-specific software
- Shooting and lighting skills
- Create rough and final cuts
- Competency in applying photographic best practices and techniques
- Ability to provide your own equipment
GUIDED TOURS
- Fluency in spoken French and English.
- A good host, an outgoing personality, able to conduct groups of people.
- Great communication skills.
- Desirable: a background in architecture, design or cultural activities.
- Indispensable: willingness to participate in general hospitality duties; possibly in the kitchen, laundry, office or other posts related to the running of the program.
TECHNICIAN ASSISTANT
- Interest and experience in crafts and eager to assist with a wide range of materials and techniques
- High-level of creative thinking and the confidence to use it
- Survey buildings and repair to ensure the safety standards
- Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.)
- Assist in the setup of the location prior to the workshop season
OFFICE ASSISTANT
- Being fluent in spoken and written French and English
- Having an outgoing personality, high social and communication skills
- Being well organized, reliable, and structured

GARDEN ASSISTANT
- Using elements of wild gardening and permaculture.

TIMELINE
From 20 March: Reception of applications. Send your CV/Portfolio and availability to workshops@boisbuchet.org (You can send your application until April 23rd but please consider that the first interviews will start on April 1st. After April 23rd you can still submit your application although it may not be eligible for this season.
Between 1st April – 15 May: Personal interviews and selection process. The first interviews will be held with candidates who are available between May and July, followed by interviews with candidates who are available between July and September.
